Rainbows Over Tacoma


2008 Event

Begin the evening's activities by dining out at one of the sponsoring restaurants (click "Sponsors" on the navigation bar).  Then, come to the Washington State History Museum main entrance (street level, across from the University of Washington Tacoma) between 6:15 PM and 7:15 PM to check in.  Tour the Third Floor Great Hall of Washington, including the "Inviting The Spirit" gallery in the far left corner of the Great Hall.  This gallery features art in the "With Our Hands: World Folk Art Traditions of Washington State" festival later in the year.  After the tour take the stairs or elevator down to the Education lobby for drinks with friends at the cash bar.  The entertainment begins promptly at 8:00 PM in the Auditorium.

Kim Archer, guitarist and singer

The Kim Archer Band is a tight 4 piece group that plays the perfect blend of soul, funk blues, rock and dance favorites!  Known for getting a crowd on their feet they have built a solid following throughout Puget Sound.

Kim will be accompanied by a member of her band.

Arnaldo! has an amazing voice (the voice is real) and brings a real touch of class to all performances.  She has performed in cabarets across the country and will be doing this event as a second fundraiser for the PFLAG organization.  Don't miss this incredible talent.

Sensible Shoes is a pop and vocal jazz group in the tradition of groups like Captain Smartypants and Emerald City Volunteers. This group of women balance great vocal delivery with fun, innovative staging.
